Whimsical illustrations
Food, Cocktails and Animals
Michelle Imbach specializes in whimsical illustration. She uses a brush and ink to first create her characters, which are painted afterward with finishing touches. Each of her subjects, be they vegetable, animal or mineral, end up taking on the unique and endearing personality which has become Michelle's signature trademark.
Commercial
Creation, Editing and Layout
Commercial work is an important segment of many artist's lives. Michelle works with companies to prepare their product shots for publication and to lay out printed materials before they go to press. She also creates logos, labels, and invitations.
Other Media
Pen and Ink, Acrylic, Graphite, etc.
Though Michelle primarily paints with a brush and ink on paper, other media are also important components that make up her skill set. Michelle draws extensively with graphite and ink, paints with acrylics and occasionally oils, uses all manners of printmaking (woodcut, intaglio and lithography) and also sculpts and makes computer-based artwork. She also works with Adobe Photoshop to enhance, alter and perfect artwork done by hand, so she might also be called a Mixed Media artist.
Children's Book Art
Children's Book illustrations
Michelle has produced a number of illustrations for authors and aspiring authors, as well as created a style for herself that is conducive to children's book art. She hopes to break into illustration circles within the next few years.
Design
Greeting Card and Other Design
Michelle's primary interest is the world of gift products. She is currently working with a large U.S. housewares company to put her artwork on ceramicware, and she is currently investigating the greeting card market as a possible outlet for her talents.
Photography
Photography, Photo editing and Photo enhancing
Michelle also works extensively in photo editing, enhancement and repair. She is a hobby photographer and works closely with Nanci Kerby Photography to create beautifully finished art Photography for her wedding and corporate clients.
